Autumn newsletter and 10% discount offer! – BackOnTrackHealthcare

Autumn newsletter and 10% discount offer!

10% discount - Between October- December 2021 for your first appointment with osteopath Cindy Milway.

It’s September, so time to go back to school and also a good time to get Back on Track!…

We know that this past year and a half has been hard for everyone, but as national and travel restrictions start to ease, we hope that a degree of normality is returning, so we look ahead with encouragement to the coming months.

Some people will have understandably been cautious about venturing out and seeking appointments, but we wanted to reassure you that at all three clinic locations we are still maintaining the same high level of hygiene and care as we have been all throughout the pandemic.

We have been busier than ever looking after you all- from new injuries relating to taking up exercise during lockdown 1,2 or 3, or sorting out that “working from home posture”, to maintenance MOT visits to keep you in tip-top shape.

Our aim is to ensure that we can see people as quickly as possible and avoid waiting time, so we have been busy recruiting over the summer and are proud to welcome a new member to the Wimbledon team, in osteopath Cindy Milway. She joins Carlo, Sarah, Harry, Emily and Kieran in offering a high level of osteopathic expertise.

Cindy graduated from the University College of Osteopathy (UCO) with a Masters of Osteopathy (M.Ost) with distinction and was awarded the medal for highest academic achievement of her cohort.

Cindy is also a qualified level 5 Sports & Remedial Massage therapist, Level 2 RockDoc for kinesiology and functional movement taping and is a facilitator for Anatomy In Motion (AiM), having undertaken an immersion course with Gary Ward, and is applying its principals in her practice.

Cindy considers the whole person in her assessment and will work with you to ensure you are involved in the planning of your care each step of the way.

Prior to becoming an Osteopath Cindy worked as a sport and remedial massage therapist for 6 years. She also holds a Bachelor of Nursing having trained in New Zealand and has had varying careers including crisis management, corporate investigations, and business continuity.

As a little welcome present, Cindy is offering a 10% reduction in her fee for all patient’s first appointment with her.

To make use of the 10% discount, feel free to call our lovely reception team on 020 8545 0965 or book directly here.

We wish everyone a healthy and safe end to 2021.

Please stay in  touch and let us know if any of the team can be of help to you.

With best wishes,

The Back on Track Healthcare Team

Hot or Cold Treatment

A common question we’re asked by patients in pain is whether they should use an ice pack or a hot water bottle to help them get better. The answer, as it often is, is ‘it depends’. Understanding the mechanisms of how temperature works to aid healing will help with knowing when to use these things and why we nag you to do so.

Prostate Cancer CPD

The prostate gland envelopes the urethra, which is a tube that drains urine from the bladder. The gland sits just below the bladder and its primary function is to produce the fluid that nourishes and transports sperm (seminal fluid). The prostate changes shape, which facilitates the mechanical with between urination and ejaculation.

Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Do you get tingly fingers or tightness in your neck?

Experienced osteopath Carlo Dore, from Back on Track Healthcare explains…

“As a clinician, when a patient presents with pain, I try to work out what dysfunction is occurring in their body which may be causing the discomfort. We look for the cause rather than just treating the symptoms.”

Whilst there is no longer a legal obligation to wear a face covering in healthcare settings, as we may have vulnerable patients on site at the time of your appointment, we would still request that you sanitise your hands on entry to our clinic and please adhere to the clinics' policy regarding mask-wearing, which will be risk-assessed on an on-going basis.
